Nur Fabian Scherle überstand von den Deutschsprachigen Tag 1A beim $777 Lucky Sevens Event # 77 der World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 im Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas.
Beim Lucky 7s sind $777.777 für den Sieger garantiert, wie bei den meisten Massenevents geht es aber schon an Tag 1 ins Geld. Drei Flights sind es insgesamt, wobei bei jedem Heat unlimited Re-Entries in den ersten 12 Levels erlaubt sind. 22 Levels à 30 Minuten werden gespielt. 1.470 Entries sorgten für $1.005.128 im Pot, die Top 221 konnten sich auf mindestens $1,246 freuen.
Schon kurz nach der Dinner Break war man auf der Bubble, zwei Double-ups später konnte in Level 17 „In the Money“ verkündet werden. Bis zum Ende des Tages ging es wie immer rasant weiter und nur 64 Spieler konnten dann auch noch Chips eintüten. Die Führung sicherte sich Thomas Blanton mit 2.265.000 Chips, deutlich weniger hat Fabian Scherle, der mit nur 200.000 in Tag 2 startet.
