Ahern and Wood Take Titles on Day 14 of NACOOP

The 14th Day of action in the North American Championship of Online Poker (NACOOP) crowned eight new winners across the USCOOP and PACOOP PokerStars platforms. Players in Pennsylvania and the shared markets of Michigan and New Jersey continue to fight it out for big guarantees as this weekend’s Main Event is right around the corner.

Along with players in Ontario, there is more to play for than just the guarantees – up for grabs is as a Vegas Gold Pass, which will send players to the relaunch of the NAPT in Las Vegas before they spend three days at the Oracle Red Bull Racing Fan Experience during the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The full package is worth $20,030, and it includes:

  • Seat in the $5,300 NAPT Las Vegas High Roller (November 10-12)
  • 3-day pass for two (November 16-18) for Oracle Red Bull Racing Fan Experience in Las
  • 9 nights hotel accommodation for two (November 10-19) at Resorts World Las Vegas,
    including taxes and resort fees.
  • $4,000 towards flights and expenses.

Wood Shoots to Thrill in Turbo PKO

The New Jersey and Michigan markets busted the guarantees in all four tournaments, with the night’s flagship $250 Thursday Thrill drawing 306 entries for a $71,298 prize pool. It was “vrybroke” with the victory in the highest buy-in of the day for over $11,500 in prizes.

Elsewhere on the virtual felt, Brian “s3lfreliance” Wood outlasted a field of 360 entries in the $100 Turbo Thrill for over $6,000. There were two $50 tournaments on Day 14, with “jglman0126” winning the $50 Nightly Stars 7-Max for $4,626 and “Rog57169” winning the unique $50 Total Progressive Knockout 3-Max for $2,451.

Ahern Stars in 7-Max, “Gut Shot G0” Wins Thursday Thrill

On the Pennsylvania side, Steve “MrShikadance711” Ahern won the $50 Nightly Stars 7-Max for $3,327. Ahern is a well-decorated PACOOP player, including a win in a $50 4-Max in 2021.

Meanwhile, “Gut Shot G0” took down the big buy-in tournament with a win in the $250 Thursday Thrill Championship for over $8,600. In the $100 Turbo Thrill it was “CL911129” with the win for over $5,300, and “MoscowMueller” cleaned up in the $50 Total Progressive Knockout for $3,095.
