Liberia On Time Bomb, Amid Reported Presence Of Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah?

 Multiple sources from the United States have indicated that Liberia has been engulfed with strange happenings including the widely involvement of individuals who are suspected of having link with Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah ties to businesses in Liberia including money laundering and drug trades.

According to GNN sources in the United States, the West is concerned of these developments currently happening in three West African Countries: Liberia, Guinea, and Mali, this briefing was reportedly highlighted during a recent meeting between the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William J. Burns, and the Liberian leader, President George Weah.

GNN source also hinted how the United States of America and allies are concerned of these security threats, and have reportedly resolved to robustly combat these threats of terrorism and money laundering in West Africa.

Due to these threatening security situations, the U.S. Military Command for Africa (AFRICOM) headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany will now have a significant presence in Liberia.

In 2007, Nigeria, Libya and South Africa vehemently objected to Africa’s hosting of The US Military Command although Liberia offered its territory for the purpose. In a sudden U-turn, Nigeria has now overwhelmingly embraced the idea of AFRICOM’s presence in the region as the country struggles with the Boko Haram crisis.
