Donald Trump Supporters FBI agents followed his defense and Suspicion deepens. The Justice Department has yet to explain the probative basis for the raid or what law may have been broken. Some Trump supporters are filling that information void with anger and loyalty.

Supporters surrounded the property with pro-Trump banners after news of the raid spread on Monday. It is a violation of life and cannot be forgiven," said Trump supporter Joseph Corfe.

Some Trump supporters told CBS News he sees the system as unbalanced. There have been multiple investigations into Trump, with less emphasis on investigations into alleged fraud by Democrats.

"I definitely think it's unfair and questionable," said Trump supporter Janine Kotkyavige.

Lindsay Harrigan, the former president's attorney based in Florida, was one of two of Trump's attorneys at Mar-a-Lago during the search. She told her CBS News that the FBI targeted three of her rooms.: Tramp's bedroom, his office, warehouse.

A source told his CBS News that the FBI was investigating Mar-a-Lago in connection with the Justice Department's investigation into the National Archives' claim that 15 boxes were found. Some Trump supporters in the Capitol questioned the timing of the search and called for transparency.

Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina said, "This is unsettling, dangerous, unwise, and the country seems divided enough that we need some answers."

The FBI action was the first search warrant issued against a  former president.

US officials told CBS News that the approval for the search came from the highest levels of the Justice Department.

Former George W. Bush Alberto Gonzalez, who served under the president, told Washington correspondent Major Garrett that the process of obtaining a search warrant at Trump's home required many steps.

"The prosecutor filed an affidavit with a federal judge, presented the information, described the location to be searched, the probable cause, the circumstances, and the type of information he believed would emerge, and the judge signed the warrant. Get out," said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said the legal and political stakes were high for Attorney General Merrick Garland. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has vowed to open an investigation into the Justice Department if Republicans win control of the House in the November midterm elections,

"When I was Attorney General, I only authorized one search warrant. It is very unusual for an Attorney General to authorize these investigations," Gonzalez said.
