Starbucks' latest featured drink left one barista nausea.
Kay starts the video with a list of featured drinks under the username@ kayli.cernan. After that, she makes a "cold brew with lemonade" with a dissatisfied look.
After taking a sip, she gagged.
"New drink ... no soon" was captioned on her clip on TikTok.
This video has been viewedand, and has been viewed more than 1.3 million times.
"I was already scared when I first saw the weekly updates," commented one barista.
"No, but the first taste is a little nice, but the rest is hell," she reads another comment.
Another person wrote: "It was traumatic to try."
This is not the first time this drink has been controversial. It was roasted as a "barista pick" in February. According to theReddit threadby one of the baristas in the chain, barista picks are only available to Starbucks Rewards Visa card members eight times a year.
A Reddit thread spread by word of mouth, and Starbucks baristas claimed the drink was "a joke made by the company."
Some people tried to come to drink defense by offering some fix ideas. For example, reduce the addition of lemonade.
"Ice coffee lemon splits are game changers, but half the cold brew lemonade is a felony," commented one.
"It goes great with raspberry syrup," another commented.
