2 soldiers killed, 3 injured in weather-related incident in Georgia

This is the second event in three weeks to include weather and army casualties.

Two Fort Benning soldiers were killed and three others injured in weather-related events in northern Georgia, officials said Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Mount Jonah near Dahlonega, a spokesman for the Army Mobility Center of Excellence and Fort Benning Public Affairs said in a statement.

Three of his wounded soldiers were treated by Army medics at the scene before being transferred to a local hospital, a spokesperson said.
