Youth being trained for workplace

Twenty-six Barbadians between the ages of 18 and 24 have been chosen to participate in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment’s Pathways Employability Programme.

Through the four-month developmental initiative, they will be provided with soft skills, life skills and work experience.

Following a month of training, the participants will get work experience during an eight-week job attachment.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Charles Griffith officially opened the programme on Wednesday, at the NSR Training Room, Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael. (AH)
