Police destroy illegal drugs

The Royal Barbados Police Force on Friday destroyed illegal drugs valued at more than $24 million.

Communications and Public Affairs Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss said the drugs were seized or discovered by police. They also included cannabis plants found during drug eradication exercises.

Additionally, some would have been evidence in court cases that were adjudicated.

Approximately 79.9 kgs of cocaine with a street value of $3, 995, 000 and 2511.35 kgs of cannabis valued at $20,190. 800 were destroyed during the exercise.
