A 60-year old man who had underlying medical conditions and was tested positive for Covid has died at Vila Central Hospital.
There are now three Covid-related deaths since the beginning of community transmission in Vanuatu.
The Ministry of Health said the man was admitted in hospital on 2 April 2022.
The ministry has also confirmed a border Covid-19 case in Tafea Province this week.
The case was identified among crew members on a cargo ship on Sunday.
No crew disembarked the ship.
