Search for 'featured vehicle' in murder of four Muslim men in New Mexico

Andrew Blankstein announced that . It said it was seeking information on "vehicles of interest" in connection with the killing of four men.

Albuquerque Police Deputy Chief Cecily Barker said law enforcement is looking for the latest model Volkswagen Jetta in metallic charcoal or dark gray from central New Mexico.

Barker is such a car and case. The vehicle appears to have been recorded on video by security him near one or more crime scenes.

A leaflet requesting information about the vehicle said it had been seen nearby, where "four Muslim men were recently murdered." This vehicle appears to be his 6th generation Jetta that was sold in North America from 2011 to 2018.

Barker said the Volkswagen had tinted windows and may have had minor body damage.

Keller said authorities do not know who owns or operates the sedan or exactly where it is registered. Barker asked anyone with information about a vehicle fitting the description to call Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers.

Police say the attacks may be related and victims were likely targeted. They are not saying that the motive is hate.

The latest deadly shooting occurred just before midnight on Friday on the edge of a community known as the International District, southeast of downtown, police said.

Victims have not been publicly identified. Authorities say he, like other victims, was Muslim and South Asian.

The first possible attack linked to violence he occurred on November 7th. Mohammad Ahmadi, 62, was found dead in a parking lot behind a halal butcher shop he and his brother ran.

His two other murders were the murder of Pakistani migrant Aftab Hussein, 41, on July 26, and Muhammad al-Hussein, 27, on Monday, Officials said it happened near the University of New Mexico.

On Sunday, President Joe Biden expressed displeasure about the possibility that violence could be sparked by victims' deep disgust for their freedom of worship.

"Muslims in Albuquerque Angry and saddened by the brutal murder of 4 men," Biden tweeted. "While awaiting a full investigation, my prayers are with the families of the victims and my administration strongly supports the Muslim community." Attacks full of guns will not be tolerated in America," he added.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, State Police, the FBI, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives participated in the investigation, and Gov. State officials will be sent to the city to assist.

Keller said at a press conference on Sunday, "I know we all condemn the senseless killings.
