Observations from Giants training camp on Monday.
good
No. 2 QB Tyrod Taylor and WR Darius Slayton have strong chemistry after training together in multiple offseasons in Atlanta. Former starter Slayton has been at the cut-boarder and played on the third-team offense in intra-squad scrimmage, but plays like the leaping catch he made on Monday showed he's capable of big plays. remind me.
Bad
It was a tough day for the Giants' passing, marked by his two interceptions from Daniel Jones (Xavier McKinney and Adley Jackson). Jones was off the mark at every level of the team drill – his timing with Kadarius Toney was out of sync, leading to a drop – and for one snap after a failed play. went to the sideline at 12pm, leading to the first rep with Taylor's starter...all camp.
Eye-catching
The Giants include defensive backs Darnay Holmes and Jackson at least 10 players returned the punt. Young receivers Wandale Robinson and Kadarius Tony are part of the group, but roster bubble players like Richie James and Jashuan Corbin can get a boost that way. 42} Medical Reports
TE Andre Miller and OL Josh Ezeudu added to unofficial injury list. RB Matt Breida didn't practice, but then said it was veteran maintenance day. TE Ricky Seals-Jones missed practice eight times in a row.
