Trump campaign won't release copy of Mar-a-Lago FBI search warrant

Former President Donald Trump and his legal team received a copy of the search warrant used to raid Mar-a-Lago on Monday It's now up to the Justice Department to detail the reasons for the unprecedented manipulation, according to a new report.

"No, we will not issue a copy of the warrant."NBC News quoted a source close to the 45th president.

Trump's attorney, Christina Bob, did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation from the Post.

It came a day after Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), who was a member of the Congress, sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray asking for more information.Regarding the evidence used to justify the attack.

“An escalation of this magnitude assumes that the Bureau of Investigation will obtain a court-ordered search warrant and conduct an unannounced search. The president's residence indicates that the federal government has recognized that something in these documents poses a serious and continuing threat to national security."

"Therefore, the evidence presented to the Court justifying the need for this warrant is of great interest to the investigative and legislative activities of this Commission."

United States Justice of the Peace Bruce Reinhart signed a warrant earlier this week allowing federal agents to search the resort, but the contents of the document have not been made public. Some are calling on the Trump side of the legal battle to release all court documents received in connection with the raid to quell speculation.

According to the Miami Herald, her two recent warrant applications assigned to Reinhardt were filed in court on Monday, but the warrants themselves and information about the subjects remained sealed. Another warrant was issued by a judge on Friday, but its contents are also sealed.

Neither the Justice Department nor the FBI have commented since the raid, but the White House claims that no one had prior knowledge of what was happening.

"The Department of Justice is conducting its own investigation and leaving law enforcement matters to the Department of Justice," spokeswoman Carine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday. "It is not appropriate to comment on ongoing investigations."
