Gallup, N.M. --A large SUV man drove a parade in New Mexico on Thursday, injuring several people, including two police officers.
State police Lieutenant Mark Soriano was not killed in the case in Gallup and could not elaborate on the extent of the injury, the Albuquerque Journal reported.
New Mexico police said onTwitterthat the driver was detained and is investigating the case.
"Several people, including two Gallup PD officers, have been injured and are being treated in the field," the tweet said. The
parade was part of a Gallup intertribal ritual celebration founded in 1922 to honor Native American and indigenous heritage.
