(CNN)2 dead, 4 shootings during baseball game at Atlanta park on Sunday people were injured. Atlanta police said he was in critical condition.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., violence began during a baseball or softball game at the Dunbar Recreation Center, located within his park in southwestern Atlanta, Rosa L. Barney. Deputy Commissioner Charles Hampton said on Sunday. He said the match was interrupted by an altercation that turned into a shootout, in which six people were shot.
A man in his 30s and an adult woman were shot dead, and a 6-year-old child was attacked and taken to Children's Eggleston Hospital in critical condition, Hampton said. Four other victims were in stable condition, he said.
Hampton said police were investigating what had happened and how his six victims had interacted with each other. We are investigating whether there was a relationship
“As we have said many times, we are simply asking our citizens to find ways to resolve conflicts without the use of weapons. Let the past pass," said Hampton.
"Whenever a tragedy like this happens - any death is a tragedy - and we have children involved... this is no place for a shootout. I'm just asking people to leave their guns at home."
