Rapper Fetty Wap has been arrested in New Jersey on suspicion of threatening to kill someone and firing a gun over a Facetime call, according to federal officials.
Hip-hop star, whose real name is William Maxwell, was announced in November 2021 on Long He Island where he smuggled more than 100 kilograms of drugs.
Prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York said the rapper violated the terms of his release in a threatening video call with him on December 11, 2021, leading to his arrest.
The "Trap Queen" rapper is scheduled to appear at a hearing Monday afternoon at the Islip Central Federal Court, where prosecutors are expected to request his detention pending trial.
