New York City man with violent rap sheet arrested for shooting at car with girl inside: Cops

A gang member previously arrested for attempted murder opened fire on a car carrying a 9-year-old girl in Midtown over the weekend, officials and police sources said. Stated. 

Eric Garcia — who was released from prison on previous charges after June 21 — was a 22-year-old man in a Hyundai car when he stopped at a red light in a park. Garcia was previously arrested on February 7, 2019 in East Harlem on suspicion of attempted murder, police said. 

The arrest stems from the August 2016 shooting of a man on East 119th Street in Manhattan and his Avenue in Lexington, police sources said. the victim was alive.  

While the lawsuit is ongoing, Web records indicate that Garcia will be released in the case at least this year until June 21. He is on $200,000 bail. was restrained. 

On Monday morning the status of his release was unknown. The Manhattan DA office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
