New Yorkers try to beat the heat as it feels like 100 degrees — relief is still days away

Don't be fooled by the thermometer.

Sundays in New York Citydid not officially reach 90 degrees Celsius, but the "feel" number approached 100 and the afternoon storm was hot. It never puts an end to it.

Even after it rained, walking down the street made me feel like I was in the sauna.

"Today I wore three T-shirts and sweated," said Koji Rosalez, 25, from Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn.

"It's a vicious circle," he said hanging out with his friends at Washington Square Park in Manhattan. "If you make a little effort in direct sunlight,'Oh, that's it.'"

Alexander Jusdanis, who sells poetry on the spot in the park, said when it was so hot. .. , "Sometimes poetry actually sweats me."

Jusdanis, 29, wrote his dit on paper with a typewriter for those who go to the park, and in the meantime a little But hold the parasol over to keep it cool.

"I'm probably sitting in the part where the sun is the longest because I don't want anyone around me," he said. "It's a good business decision, a terrifying, terrifying health decision."

He said the business would decline as mercury soared. Therefore, Monday and Tuesday may not be the best business days for him either. Monday temperatures are expected to peak at 92 degrees Celsius. According to FOX Weather, it is expected to get worse on Tuesday and peak at 95 degrees.

"On Tuesday, you are looking about 10 degrees above average," said meteorologist Samantha Thomas.

According to Thomas, tristatter suffers primarily due to high dew points. In other words, humidity makes the air even hotter.

"The high humidity in the air makes it feel sticky and hot, but it just makes me sick," she told the post.

The good news is that a "cold front" will come on Wednesday, and temperatures should drop to normal, or about 85 degrees Celsius, FOX said.

One of Rosales' friends, Angel Torrance of the Bronx, said on Sunday that it was too hot to smoke or drink due to bad weather.

"I hardly want to smoke weeds, and I smoke crazy weeds, but weeds heat me up," Torrens, 25, told The Post. "I'm afraid to drink because I sweat more in my butt."

He said that only his wallet was hit by the heat. He complains about high AC invoices and increased water use from all the showers he has to take.

"Sweat and take a shower five times a day, which wastes you a lot of money on f-king water," Torrens said.

Thomas recommended drinking plenty of water and wearing loose clothing to keep you cool.

"There is a great break in the middle of the week," she said. "So it really goes beyond the next few days, making sure everyone is doing what they can to keep them cool, and ensuring that their pets also stay cool."
