Hulu is one streaming service that Mike Tyson almost certainly doesn't use.
In a series of social his media statements, the legendary boxer claimed Hulu stole his story without compensation, and the next show chronicling his life. I'm mad at "Mike".
"Don't let Hulu fool you. I don't endorse their story about my life," Tyson, 56, wrote on Instagram. "It's not 1822. It's 2022." They stole my life story and didn't pay me.To Hulu executives, I'm just the [N-word] they can sell on the auction block."
In the caption of that Instagram post, Tyson wrote: "Hulu is the streaming version of Slave Master. They stole my story and didn't pay me."
Tyson took to Twitter to make similar comments. and wrote, "Hulu's model stealing celebrity life rights is grossly greedy." He added: They are Goliath and I am David. This makes my head roll.
Tyson expressed a similar view when the show was first ordered in February 2021.
"Making this announcement during Black History Month only confirms Hulu's concern for the dollar over respect for the rights of Black stories," he said. "Hollywood needs to be more sensitive to black people's experiences, especially given everything that happened in 2020."
