Mets' Taijuan Walker could miss the start despite 'good news'

ATLANTA — The Mets received what they deem "good news" Wednesday about Taijuan Walker's back pain, but it won't stop the right-hander from missing out on his next start. maybe not.

Walker was out Tuesday in the second inning with what the Mets called a spasm in his back. His subsequent MRI on Wednesday showed no structural damage, his manager Buck Showalter said.

Tylor Megill is live in rehab from a right shoulder strain.In his batting practice he threw 20 pitches. Megill plans to pitch from the bullpen after his return.

According to Showalter, Tommy Hunter will likely return from IL on Sunday. His right arm has been in IL since August 6 due to back strain.
