A 32-year-old Long Island man shoots a green laser at a police helicopter overhead. Yes, says the cop.
A Nassau County Police helicopter and his pilot determined that the man attempted to sabotage the flight around 11:00 p.m. Authorities said he was at the Edgewood Motel on the Jericho Turnpike on Saturday.
"After a thorough investigation, officers from the Nassau County Department of Special Operations were able to locate the subject within the motel," a police news release said.
Police arrested her 32-year-old Lanceley in Bayville, the release said.
Lee was charged with pointing a laser at an aircraft in the first stage, recklessly taking risks in the second stage, and obstructing government administration in the second stage, according to police.
Lee was released on a court ticket and he is scheduled to be arraigned on August 26 in Hempstead's First District Court, according to officers.
