Problem: A taxi driver who was allegedly murdered after confronting a passenger who attempted to rob him.

The post's headlines and the heartbreaking photo of Abigail Barwer underscore the utter failure of Mayor Adams' administration in dealing with the crime problem ("'Justice ,' ” August 15).

Adams lost his police officer due to his early retirement and the city as a result. I think we all had high hopes for his mayor, but I don't think he has the necessary fortitude and ability to do what is needed.

Eventually he relinquished his responsibility to keep the city safe. Disappointing. I cannot imagine the pain his wife and children are going through. God bless them.

My condolences to the family of the murdered taxi driver Kutin Gyimah.

What an international disgrace New York City has become! There are a lot of accusations around, but that doesn't solve anything.

It's time for the mayor to put on his big pants and take a walk instead of chatting.

Mr. Mayor — You, the District Attorney and other criminal-prone politicians have blood on your hands again.

City the other day.

The mayor appears to have failed to keep his promise to keep the city safe. These crimes and shootings continue all over our city.

In short: we need more police to protect the people of our city. Our city has become a haven for violent crime.

I have lived in New York City all my life. It is now very dangerous to walk in this city where stray bullets are very likely to hit you.

Mayor Adams, this is your city. You are the one who has to stop all violence and shooting. it's in your hands. Please do something to stop this.

State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins, Adams, and Governor Ho-Chol all have blood on their hands. Daily reports of innocent New Yorkers being attacked and massacred continue.

Say what you want to say about the days of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerrick, Bill Bratton, Howard Saphir and Ray Kelly. Crime was reduced and dealt with appropriately. Criminals knew the consequences.

Police Commissioner Keychant Sewell has great ideas, but what outnumbers her are the votes, not the bodies, not the lives they are implicitly destroying. . Thanks to former Governor Andrew Cuomo and former Mayor Bill de Blasio, the system fell apart.

I was a witness in New York City from his 1960s to his early 2000s. Welcome big changes.

Kutin Guima, a yellow cab driver, drove early Saturday morning. Died in pursuit in Queens. A downed passenger who tried to rob him. There is a clear video of the chase on the streets of Queens.

Now suppose a plainclothes police officer in an unmarked car witnesses this chase on the street. Immediate action could have saved Gyimah's life.

I am aware of the fact that thousands of surveillance arrests were made when plainclothes officers of various makes and models were patrolling our five boroughs.

These young women and their children are capricious, reckless and fearless. The catastrophe that hits New York City endures the pain of criminals.

Black Lives Matter's charades are but a fleeting memory. The left's hypocrisy only destroys what they so fervently profess to protect.

This young woman, like so many others, carries the burden of raising her family without her father, and her silence is once again deafening. Adams is kidding, period.
