Bubba Wallace unhappy with another 2nd place finish: 'I really want to win'

Bubba Wallace was thrilled with his second-place finish on Sunday at the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Wallace was on pole in the race and braved the likes of Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin to finish in the top five. With 40 laps to go, Harvick beat Wallace on the restart and never looked back.

Harvick finished about three seconds ahead of Wallace in the 23XI Racing where he drives the No. 23 Toyota Camry. Did.

"Second place doesn't make it into the playoffs. This is a lot worse than Daytona. Daytona, we just fell for it. This is what we had the car for." he said via his NBC Sports.

"I was a little late in the mid-race adjustments. I didn't think I could get back there. It was very difficult to pass. The aero sensitivity in these cars is just nuts." I had to get there on an empty stomach, only to find out that I had made the wrong choice to reboot.

Wallace said he felt he had "failed everyone."

"I really want to win. This was my best chance," he added.

Wallace also said he finished second at the Daytona 500 in February. He took his first win last season at Talladega Superspeedway.
