Watch: Boris Johnson observes minute of silence for Prince Philip at start of funeral

The Prime Minister has appeared with his head bowed and dressed in black on the steps outside his country home in Chequers on the day of the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral.

The tribute took place at 3pm, just ahead of the funeral of Prince Philip in Windsor, after his death on April 9 at the age of 99.

Mr Johnson, unable to attend the funeral due to coronavirus restrictions, observed the silent tribute outside his official country residence of Chequers, in Buckinghamshire.
