This Morning viewers in hysterics over cow who 'loves watching the Chase'

This Morning viewers were delighted after an appearance from a baby cow who lives indoors with her owners and 'loves watching the Chase'.

Ten-month-old calf Honey was taken in by the Northmore family, who live on a farm in Cornwood, Ivybridge, after being born unwell following a Caesarean and was reared by 18-year-old Molly.

Appearing on the ITV show today, Molly said that the adorable animal is loving her new lifestyle, going into 'a trance' while watching the quiz show - but isn't as keen on Loose Women.

Viewers found the segment hilarious, with one saying that '2021 TV had peaked' while another said it was 'lovely' to hear Honey's story.

Appearing on the ITV show today, Molly told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary (both pictured) that the adorable animal is loving her new lifestyle

'Honey was born last March through Caesarean,' said Honey. 'When she was born she was so weak she couldn't stand. She couldn't hold her body temperature.

'She had to come inside, we put her in a vegetable box in front of the fire with hot water bottles, blankets to keep her warm.

'For the first two weeks we weren't sure if she was going to make it or not, but later on when she started to walk and have the right nutrients, she came on leaps and bounds.'

Honey shares the Northmore household with two Golden Retrievers, three Terriers and a Collie. The family also have horses, cats and a goat.

The calf loves television, however is very selective about the shows she chooses to watch, with Molly admitting she isn't keen on scary films or Loose Women.

Speaking of Honey's love for The Chase, Molly said: 'She just stands in front of the TV and her ears are pricked. When she's watching it she's in a trance.

'It's just the different sounds and different lights and everything, I guess. She doesn't like dark more scary films.'

Hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond where left in hysterics after asking whether Honey was a fan of ITV show Loose Women

Honey, who is a mix between a Charlais bull and a Dexter heffer, was taken in after becoming unwell after birth

Honey was born via C-section and was to weak to stand before being cared for by the Northmore family

Molly admitted: 'The other day she was in here and wasn't really interested in watching that, so I had to put The Chase on. She just wasn't really into it.'

One delighted viewer wrote: '2021 TV has peaked. Nevermind Biden/Trump. Lets all meet the cow who loves The Chase.'

Another said: 'So lovely waking up to a cow who loves #TheChase!! Like me!!'

A third wrote: 'Just when you think the world is crazy enough, Honey the cow who loves the Chase..'

Carolyn Northmore, who works at South Moor Vets, previously said they decided to keep their new family member after her daughter was furloughed due to the pandemic.

Carolyn said: 'She came indoors because it was too cold for her to stay outdoors back in March. It's one of those really happy coincidences. When she was first born she wasn't much bigger than a Terrier. She was tiny.'

She added: 'Molly took her under her wing and reared her. Molly didn't give her a chance to die'.
