The Crown star Emma Corrin’s appearance holding hands with dashing art director Ibrahim ‘Ibby’ Njoya must be a moment from the shortest ‘love affair’ in history, according to my spies.
The couple were seen strolling in London last week, sparking speculation they were dating. Call me cynical, but perhaps it was no coincidence that they were pictured in the same week that her play Anna X opened in the West End.
Representatives for Emma, 25, never confirmed or denied a romance at the time and now I learn that the star is not dating her pal Ibby, also 25, and never has done. Indeed, my source says Emma doesn’t even remotely fancy him.
I guess it just goes to show what a good actress she is…

Crush of the week... Ella Dettori
Ella Dettori, who is following in the hoof-steps of her jockey dad Frankie, charmed me at the Qatar box at Glorious Goodwood last week.
In her first-ever race, Ella, 19, rode Green Door in the all-female Magnolia Cup in aid of Smart Works, but sadly didn’t win this time. Speaking of the expectations that come with her name, she joked: ‘My father has five children but I’m the only one short enough to be a jockey – so all the pressure is on me!’
Frankie, still racing at 50 and pictured at Goodwood with Ella, added: ‘I was nervous as I feel so protective of her, but I was very proud.’
