Sydney students are evacuated after 'threatening email'

Several Sydney schools have been evacuated after receiving threatening emails.

All staff and students were forced to flee the schools across the city at about 11am on Tuesday after the email was received, a police spokeswoman said. 

It is not yet known how many schools have been impacted. One of the schools is believed to be Willoughby Girls High in the city's North Shore.

The police spokeswoman said no injuries had been reported and investigations are underway.

'We have been advised to conduct an off-site evacuation and are taking all students to our evacuation pint under police guidance,' the note read.

'We will update you via SkoolBag but want to reiterate and assure you everyone is safe.'

Daily Mail has also contacted the Department of Education for further comment.
