Bolehyde Manor was previously home to the now Duchess of Cornwall while she was married to her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.

Andrew Parker Bowles bought the manor house with his new wife in 1973 before selling it for £600,000 in 1986 to the Earl and Countess of Cairns, Simon Cairns and his wife Amanda.

The sprawling, eight-bed property boasts large gardens set over 70 acres featuring a swimming pool and a tennis court, extensive outbuildings and land for farming.

The house has numerous royal connections with the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton's parents, Carole and Michael, rumoured to have shown an interest in December 2010.

It is located near Chippenham, Wiltshire - just 15 miles from Prince Charles' estate at Highgrove, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Historical records show evidence of work on the site as far back as 700 years ago, although Bolehyde Manor was built closer to its current form in the 17th century.

It was given Grade II* listing in 1952, with Camilla and husband Andrew moving in two decades later.

Prince Charles and Camilla had been in a relationship prior to him meeting and marrying Diana in 1981 and were known to be friends.

It has been widely acknowledge that they then resumed their romance even before he tied the knot with the soon-to-be Princess of Wales - and while Camilla was also married.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana formally divorced in 1996 and she was tragically killed in a car crash just a year later. He and Camilla then married in 2005.

She had divorced from Andrew in 1995, with the couple having been living apart for some time.

Bolehyde Manor is being sold by estate agents Savills.

Agent Lindsay Cuthill said: 'Bolehyde Manor is an enchanting house with stunning gardens.'
