Pregnant woman's neighbor threatens to report her loud morning sickness to management

A pregnant woman who throws up 'multiple times a day' due to morning has revealed how her neighbor threatened to report her 'loud puking' to management - before urging her to 'run water or play music' to counteract the noise.

Posting anonymously on Reddit, the woman, who lives in an apartment building believed to be in America, told how her resident wanted to make a formal complaint about her vomiting.

Writing on the Am I Being an A****** thread, the mother-to-be explained that on some days she throws up 'multiple times a day' - adding that the walls in her apartment are so thin she can sometimes hear next door's conversations.

''"I'm going to talk to management". Lmao what the hell does she think is going to come of that? Working out a vomiting schedule?' wrote one, while a second penned: 'Think the response to that is “lady, if you think management might know a way to get rid of my morning sickness, by all means ask them for help!”'

In the initial post, the woman in question explained: 'My neighbor knocked on my door and said she could hear my "loud puking" all the time, and she has a gag reflex when she hears people throwing up. She said she has almost thrown up after hearing me.'

The woman added that the resident requested she turn on her bathroom fan, play music or run water before she is sick.

She continued: 'I am in my first trimester and haven't even told my family that I'm pregnant yet, so I didn't really want to share with my neighbor.

'But it seemed like she was implying that I was purposely making myself vomit so I felt like I had to explain.'

Posting anonymously on Reddit, the woman, who lives in an apartment building believed to be in America, said her neighbor wanted to make a formal complaint about her vomiting

'I told her I was sorry to bother her, that I had morning sickness and would try to turn on my fan before I got sick.

'I also told her that the nausea can come on quickly, so no promises. She didn't seem happy with this but said okay and left.'

The mother-to-be went on to say she had been trying to keep the noise down and turning her fan on, but added it had been 'stressful'.

But despite her best efforts, the neighbor was still unsatisfied and complained once again.

The mother-to-be said she had been trying to keep the noise down but her neighbour was still not satisfied with her efforts, and had come to her door to complain again

She wrote: 'So I have been turning on my fan when I can and trying to be quiet, but this is honestly stressful.

'My neighbor knocked on my door yesterday and said she has still heard me and would be talking to management if it didn't stop.

'I was exhausted and over it, so I told her, "okay then" and closed the door. I feel like I've done what I can reasonably do but AITA?'

Others were quick to poke fun at the neighbour's complaints about loud sickness, which she may be wishing was back instead of the baby's screams in the future

One person wrote: 'Think the response to that is “lady, if you think management might know a way to get rid of my morning sickness, by all means ask them for help!”'

Another penned: 'Wouldn't that be heavenly!? Honestly who likes being sick multiple times a day with no warning? I know I didn't.'

Meanwhile, others couldn't get over how ridiculous reporting someone for being sick sounded, and questioned what staff at the apartment block could do about it.

'Creating a no-puking policy in the apartment? Does she think they're going to say "ah yes, a thousand apologies, we'll get right on that" and soundproof her damn apartment?' wrote one.

Many sympathetic people said if only reporting the sickness to management would make it go away

A second joked: 'Management is going to recommend she invest in a white noise machine and noise-canceling headphones.'

'She is going to be laughed at by management if she goes to them', another added.

Elsewhere, some were quick to poke fun at the neighbor's complaint, which she may be hoping returns when the baby arrives and the screaming starts.

One person quipped: 'Just wait until the baby gets here. She might be wishing she just had to listen to puking.'
