Plane passenger shares 'disgusting' moment the person behind rested their bare feet on her headrest

A disgusted plane passenger has captured the moment a fellow traveller placed their bare feet on her headrest mid-flight.

The female passenger shared the image to Reddit on Monday along with the tagline 'Going to be a long flight'.

The photo shows another traveller with their feet resting right above the woman's head as she looks despairingly into the camera.

A disgusted plane passenger shared the image of the person behind them resting their bare feet on her headrest to Reddit gaining a huge response from other disgusted users

Her post quickly went viral.

'It bothers me to think that people put up with this sort of thing because they're too shy to confront ignorance,' one angry user wrote.

'People think this is OK because other people refuse to say anything to them,' another added.

The poster said it was a situation she always dreaded before getting on to a plane.

Some users suggested the woman should have spoken to flight attendants.

'If the plane is still at the gate then kick him/her off ... disorderly conduct in a tube that is 30,000ft above ground is stupid,' one user wrote.

'I'd hope that a flight attendant would ask them to put their feet down as soon as they saw that,' another added.

One user also shared their own similar experience.

'I was on a six-hour, overnight flight a couple months ago, someone up ahead was doing that. It was shut down by a flight attendant pretty quickly,' they said.

Many told the woman she should have got the attention of flight attendant who no doubt would have told the passenger to remove their feet (stock image)
