The mother-of-nine, 47, lives with her brood and her husband Clive Owen, 66, at 2,000 acre Ravenseat farm in the Yorkshire Dales after moving to the land in 1996 to train as a shepherdess.
She has grown a large fan following thanks to the popularity of Channel 5 show, Our Yorkshire Farm, however news of the couple's marriage being on the rocks has allegedly become the 'talk of the village'.
A source told The Sun: 'It's incredibly sad. Amanda and Clive are two hugely popular figures here in the Dales, and no one saw this coming.
'Clive loves Amanda to bits and adores her, and fears the marriage may be failing even though he desperately doesn't want it to. He fears they will divorce.'
The news comes as Amanda is set to release a new book on her family life in the Dales before its official publication day on Wednesday.
The book, titled A Year in the Life of a Yorkshire Shepherdess, gives fans an insight into the age-old cycles of a farming year and the constant challenges the family faces.
The source added: 'Obviously everyone around them hopes they can work things out, and 21 years of largely happy marriage won't end up playing out in the divorce courts.'

Amanda met her husband in 1996 when he was already divorced with two children, after she arrived at his farm as a 21-year-old trainee shepherdess.

The mother-of-nine grew up in a traditional three-bed house with her parents and one sibling in the large market town of Huddersfield.
At 6ft 2in, the blonde was encouraged to follow the same career path as her model mother, but she hated the clothes and make-up that she had to wear.
She left her comfortable town life to work on farms around the country, but it's when she knocked on the door of Ravenseat Farm that she found her calling.
Many of her children help out on the farm when they are not at school - or travelling to and from as the journey takes one-and-a-half hours each way.
