Noel Gallagher spent £1,000 so woman could hit sales targets

A woman has revealed an unexpected soft side to Oasis hardman Noel Gallagher, sharing a tale of how he one bought ten pairs of the same jeans worth £95 each so she could hit her sales target.

Audrey Indome, from London, who co-hosts The Receipts Podcast and uses the moniker Ghana's Finest, was working at the swanky Oxford Street department store Selfridges, when Oasis frontman Noel, 53, noticed her 'looking sad'.

After discovering she was behind on her sales targets, the Britpop star purchased ten pairs of Levi black 501 jeans and sharing the story on Twitter, Audrey said she'll 'never forget' the act of kindness - and the singer himself liked her tweet.

The story promoted another user, Nicole Krystal Crentsil, from London, to share a similar experience she'd had with rapper Professor Green, 36, whose real name is Stephen Paul Manderson.

She explained that while working in the menswear department of the same store, the musican had purchased a jacket from French luxury fashion house Maison Margiela in order to help her reach her target.

According to Audrey,  the Oasis frontman Noel, 53, pictured in February this year, noticed her 'looking sad' and splashed out around £950 on ten pairs of black jeans

A pair of black 501 cropped straight high-rise jeans currently cost £95 each from the retailer, meaning Noel would have splashed out around £950 on the purchase.

Taking to Twitter, Audrey penned: 'I remember when I worked in Levi’s at Selfridges Noel Gallagher came in and asked why I looked sad, I told him I hadn’t hit target and he bought 10 pairs of black 501s I’ll never forget that.'

While some doubted whether the story was true, other Twitter users were quick to point out that Noel himself had both liked and retweeted the comment.

Many commented calling the musician  a 'great bloke', while others called the selfless act 'so sweet'.

One teased: 'You can never have too many pairs of black 501s tbf. Good on him tho.'

'F**** great bloke, even better songwriter', another commented.

'See and people wonder why I work so hard. I wanna be in a position where I'm able to do something like that for other people', wrote another,

A third agreed: 'Omg Noel Gallaghers so sweet'.

'That's what I call a rockstar, big up Noel Gallagher', a fourth wrote.

The thread prompted others to recall their celebrity encounters while working in retail
