New South Wales police officer and father of twins shoots himself dead at a Sydney police station 

A NSW police officer and father of twins has died after shooting himself at the Sydney Police Centre.

The father of three-year-old twins was found dead in an office on Goulburn Street in Surry Hills at 7.30am on Monday.

It is believed the man was in the police force for 15 years and was married to another officer, the Daily Telegraph reported.

'Earlier today a male officer was found deceased in an office at the Sydney police centre,' NSW Police said.

'Initial inquiries indicate the man's death is not suspicious.'
