Mother 31, sobs in dock as she appears in court charged with murdering man

A mother sobbed in court today as she appeared on a charge of murdering a man with a single stab wound.   

Hayley Keating, 31, is accused of the murder of Matthew Wormleighton, 45, at the Somerset home they shared.

Mr Wormleighton died following an incident at a property in Chilthorne Domer near Yeovil on May 14.

Police attended at 4.45am and he was taken to Yeovil District Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination concluded the preliminary cause of death as a single stab wound.

Mother-of-two Keating sobbed as she appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' Court today, where she spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address, The Sun reports. 

Keating, of Chilthorne Domer, has been remanded in custody pending her appearance at Yeovil Magistrates' Court on Monday.
