'Hosted by Michelle Obama, the series will bring listeners the former First Lady's most candid and personal conversations, showing us what's possible when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to open up, and to focus on what matters most,' the two companies announced in a press release.
Obama said in a statement that she’s hopeful the series 'can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we're all trying to answer in our own lives.'
'Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations -- and hard conversations -- with the people who matter most to them. That's how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another,' she added.

Since leaving the White House in 2017, Obama has pursued various projects including writing and selling her bestselling memoir Becoming, launching a whirlwind book tour where she was interviewed by friends Oprah and Sarah Jessica Parker, and released a documentary film under the same name.
This is the first podcast to come from a deal between Higher Ground and Spotify, that signed with the music streaming company last year.
'We believe that audiences across the globe will be inspired by these most candid, most human and most personal conversations between First Lady Michelle Obama and her guests,' Spotify Chief Content Officer Dawn Ostroff said in a statement according to The Wrap.
