MEGHAN MCCAIN: If CNN's Jeff Zucker won't fire Chris Cuomo then HE should be under investigation

What exactly does Chris Cuomo have on the President of CNN, Jeff Zucker? Seriously, what does Chris Cuomo know about Jeff Zucker that is so compromising that Jeff doesn't want the American public to know?

At this point, I can't come up with any other reason why Chris Cuomo has kept his job as a primetime anchor at CNN. Or is the media truly such a disgusting cesspool that you just have to be bros with the president of a news network and schmooze at cocktail parties in the Hamptons to never be forced to take any accountability whatsoever for your actions?

I haven't been able to figure out why Chris Cuomo is still employed in mainstream media for a very long time but, if there were any doubt, here we are yet again with another glaring example of why he is unfit to anchor an evening news show on a major cable network.

For too long Chris Cuomo has been given a pass by the media where others wouldn't. It is among the worst things that connections to power, fame and a political last name have to offer in this industry.

There is a litany of inexcusable journalistic behavior that Chris Cuomo has exhibited in the past few years, honestly too many to go over, however here are a few notable examples.

What exactly does Chris Cuomo have on the President of CNN, Jeff Zucker?  At this point, I can't come up with any other reason why Chris Cuomo has kept his job as a primetime anchor at CNN. Newly-released transcripts from the investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo show Chris sending text messages and running interference for Governor Cuomo's abysmal PR team after his brother was accused of sexual harassment. Chris even asked sources to dig up dirt on his brother's accusers

Pages of text exchanges between Chris Cuomo and Andrew Cuomo's top aid Melissa DeRosa were released by the New York Attorney General's office Monday. Investigators asked Cuomo during the investigation about a March 2021 text where he wrote to DeRosa: 'If Ronan has nothing better – better than Boylan, that's a great sign'

Whomever still has a brain or a soul at CNN should fire Chris Cuomo today and Toobin with him. If he isn't fired, I suggest the media turn their direct focus to CNN President Jeff Zucker (pictured) and delve deeper into exactly why the president of his network is so hellbent on protecting Chris

I have seen the pain and trauma that happened as a result because sadly a dear friend of mine, Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, lost her in-laws in that tragedy.

Cut to this week, and newly-released transcripts from the investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo show Chris sending text messages and running interference for Governor Cuomo's abysmal PR team after his brother was accused of sexual harassment. Chris even asked sources to dig up dirt on his brother's accusers.

The New York Times said he 'played an outsized role in his brother's defense'.

He also engaged with sources to get a read on upcoming stories that took aim at his brother.

This contradicts the lie Chris Cuomo said on air in August when he declared that 'I never attacked nor encouraged anyone to attack any woman who came forward'.

The question I present to CNN and their stockholders is this, in an era where public trust in the media is at historic lows, how can you ethically and in good faith continue to employ a man who is little more than a mouthpiece for his brother and the Democratic party?

I understand the bar is low given that at CNN you can masturbate on a Zoom call in front of your co-workers, like Jeffrey Toobin (pictured), and still be brought back as a commentator with open arms. That being said, our country needs real, unbiased journalists, not hacks who use their platforms to push their agenda of their politics and their families

A man so devoid of morals or journalistic standards that he used his connections in media, and one can assume at his home network CNN, to find dirt on women who have credibly accused his brother or sexual harassment.

There is no anchor at CNN, no woman in the media, no one who would be treated the same way Chris Cuomo is being treated. There is no one who could possibly get away with this egregious journalistic malpractice. I for one am absolutely sick of it.

But this is a bigger issue for the news media at large. You cannot complain about the American public, Republican voters in particular, not trusting the media or people who are on air at CNN delivering news to them when you continue to employ Chris Cuomo.

That being said, our country needs real, unbiased journalists, not hacks who use their platforms to push their agenda of their politics and their families. There shouldn't be a place for this. People in this industry have been fired for much less than anything Chris Cuomo has done.

As far as I'm concerned, Jeff Zucker and Chris Cuomo both have a lot to answer for, and Governor Andrew Cuomo's accusers deserve at least an apology for how they have been treated - with the apparent connivance of a major a news network

Finally, there are good people who work at CNN. People whom I like and trust to deliver my news and commentary.

People whom I consider friends. People like S.E. Cupp, Jake Tapper, and Van Jones.

They all work incredibly hard and deserve better than to continue to have their careers tainted because they share a company byline with a liar and a fraud.
