A man is set to appear in court today on a murder charge following the death of a man after an alleged assault.
Emergency services were called to Albert Harrower Crescent at South West Rocks in New South Wales' north coast just before 7pm on Wednesday after reports a man had been assaulted.
A 61-year-old man was found located near the roadway with serious head injuries.

The man was treated at the scene by police and paramedics.
He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a critical condition but later died.
The two men - who are not known to each other - had allegedly been involved in a road rage incident prior to the altercation.
A crime scene was established and specialist forensic police conducted an examination.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Police District have commenced an investigation into the incident.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Kempsey Police Station, where he was charged with murder.
The man has been refused bail and is set to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court later on Thursday.
