Gosnells, Perth: Police shoot man dead after two officers injured in early morning 'disturbance' 

A man has been shot dead by police after two officers were injured as they responded to an early morning 'disturbance' at a suburban home. 

The man in his 30s died from a gunshot wound just after 1am on Monday after an officer discharged their firearm at a home on Fremantle Road in Gosnells in Perth's south-east.

Officers had been called to the address after receiving reports of a disturbance, a Western Australia Police spokesman said.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

Two police officers were injured and taken to Armadale Hospital. 

WA Police said there is no ongoing threat to community safety. 

An investigation is underway and the public have been urged to avoid the area.
