A group of five teenagers have been rushed to hospital after the car they were in smashed into a tree on Sunday night.
The four 16-year-old girls and the 18-year-old driver were treated by paramedics after the Ford Focus they were travelling in went off the road just after 11pm in Brisbane's north.
The male driver and one of the girls remain in hospital in critical conditions after the crash on a corner of Old North Road, Brendale, Queensland police said.

The other three teenagers were treated in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers investigating the accident said no other vehicles were involved in the crash though inquiries are ongoing.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who might have dashcam footage to contact them.
