Dad sneaks up on his twins as they steal chocolate from the kitchen

Children can be a handful, but spare a thought for parents dealing with partners in crime who team up to make mischief.

One American dad has left people in stitches after he took to TikTok to share his toddler twins' cheeky behaviour while their mother was away.

Micah Freeman, who goes by the username @ncfreeb, shared a hilarious video showing his sons sneakily stealing chocolate out of the kitchen when they thought he wasn't looking.

The inventive children had impressively used a chair with a baby seat perched on top to scale the kitchen counter and indulge in some delicious snacks.

After intitally looking alarmed at being rumbled, the boys decided they didn't care too much, and continued to munch away on the treats.

The twins, who were wearing matching pyjamas, could be seen unwrapping little chocolates and enjoying their snack time - quite unaware of their dad's presence.

Micah sneakily filmed from behind a wall before quietly creeping up behind his two children, catching them redhanded as they stuffed their faces with treats.

As he approached his kids with the Pink Panther theme tune playing in the background, he said: 'What are y'all doing?'

His two children hilariously leapt out of their skin at the sound of their dad's voice, turning around to look at him with complete horror on their faces.

One of the boys even had a chocolate crammed inside his mouth as he was caught in the act.

But after the initial shock of seeing their dad, the twins clearly decided that chocolate was more important than being told off and kept helping themselves.

TikTokers were left in stitches after watching the adorable video, which has racked up an impressive 41,000 likes in just one day.

Some viewers quipped that the twins definitely would have 'scattered' if their mom had caught them, while others admitted they found the video 'too funny'.

Commenting on the kid's relaxed reaction, one user wrote: 'Nothing to see here, move along Dad.'

And other penned: 'You know damn well if that was mom they would have scattered!! [laughing emojis]'

A third said, 'Too funny, well they didn't stop', while another amused viewer wrote, 'love that they are surprised to be caught and then they are like "nah don't care it's chocolate man".'

And a fifth commented: 'I don't think they think it's any of your business.'
