Barron Trump was absent from dad's farewell speech

Barron Trump was no where to be seen as his older siblings gathered to listen to Donald Trump's farewell speech before the former president left Washington, DC.

The teen, who is Trump's only child with former first lady Melania, reportedly flew on Air Force One with his parents to Florida.

However, he didn't stand with his siblings on the tarmac to listen to his father's speech.

According to People, Barron was also not seen leaving the White House with his parents earlier Wednesday morning when they made their trip to Joint Base Andrews to board Air Force One.

It's unclear where Barron was, but his absence sent Twitter into a frenzy with some users likening him to Home Alone's main character, Kevin McCallister.

Melania also gave a farewell speech: 'Being your first lady was my greatest honor. 'Thank you for your love and support. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, god bless you all, god bless your families, and god bless this beautiful nation'

'Home Alone 6: The Trumps left Barron in the White House,' one person wrote.

Another shared: 'Home Alone 5 starring Barron Trump.'

'Did they leave Barron inside?' one person added, referring to the White House.

'Did Trump just Home Alone Barron Trump? I didn't see him get on AFO. The Bidens better check the basement,' another person wrote.

Trump, Melania and Barron will likely spend much of their time at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, in the immediate months after his presidency.

Trump and Melania gave their farewells to a crowd that included, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and their children, as well as Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle.

'Have a good life, we will see you soon,' Trump said. 'We've left it all — as the athletes would say — we left it all on the field.'

'In a month when we're sitting in Florida, we can't look at each other and say, 'Well, only if we worked a little bit harder',' he added.

Melania also gave a farewell speech: 'Being your first lady was my greatest honor.

'Thank you for your love and support. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, god bless you all, god bless your families, and god bless this beautiful nation.'

In addition to that speech, Trump released a farewell video thanking Americans for 'this extraordinary privilege', listing his achievements and wishing the next administration well - although he failed to directly name Joe Biden who was sworn in as the 46th president.

Trump began the nearly 20-minute farewell by saying: 'Four years ago, we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens. In short, we embarked on a mission to make America great again -- for all Americans.'

Trump, who spent months trying to de-legitimize Biden's win with baseless allegations of mass voter fraud, referenced the 'next administration,' but declined to utter Biden's name as he filmed from the White House Blue Room.

He said: 'This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck -- a very important word.'

Trump has still refused to publicly concede to Biden, spending the weeks after the election blaming his loss on widespread voter fraud that did not exist.

He has remained largely out of sight since his supporters stormed the Capitol building earlier this month, trying to halt the peaceful transfer of power.

The president spent much of the address trumpeting what he sees as his top achievements, including efforts to normalize relations in the Middle East, the development of coronavirus vaccinations and the creation of a new Space Force.

Trump became the first outgoing president in more than a century to skip the inauguration of his successor.

He and Melania refused to take part in any of the symbolic passing-of-the-torch traditions that have been the capstones of the peaceful transition of power from one administration to the next.

He also passed on inviting the Bidens to the White House for a get-to-know-you meeting. And it remains unclear whether he will write Biden a personal welcome letter, like the one he received from former President Obama when he moved in.

Trump also released a farewell video on his last full day in office, thanking Americans for 'this extraordinary privilege, listing his achievements and wishing the next administration well - although he failed to directly name his successor Joe Biden

Trump said in his address: 'My fellow Americans: Four years ago, we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens. In short, we embarked on a mission to make America great again -- for all Americans.

'As I conclude my term as the 45th President of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together. We did what we came here to do -- and so much more.

'This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck -- a very important word.'

He continued: 'I'd like to begin by thanking just a few of the amazing people who made our remarkable journey possible.

'First, let me express my overwhelming gratitude for the love and support of our spectacular First Lady, Melania. Let me also share my deepest appreciation to my daughter Ivanka, my son-in-law Jared, and to Barron, Don, Eric, Tiffany, and Lara. You fill my world with light and with joy.

'I also want to thank Vice President Mike Pence, his wonderful wife Karen, and the entire Pence family.

'Thank you as well to my Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows; the dedicated members of the White House Staff and the Cabinet; and all the incredible people across our administration who poured out their heart and soul to fight for America.

'I also want to take a moment to thank a truly exceptional group of people: the United States Secret Service. My family and I will forever be in your debt. My profound gratitude as well to everyone in the White House Military Office, the teams of Marine One and Air Force One, every member of the Armed Forces, and state and local law enforcement all across our country.

'Most of all, I want to thank the American people. To serve as your President has been an honor beyond description. Thank you for this extraordinary privilege. And that's what it is -- a great privilege and a great honor.

'We must never forget that while Americans will always have our disagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, and peace-loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and be very, very successful and good. We are a truly magnificent nation.

'All Americans were horrified by the assault on our Capitol. Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans. It can never be tolerated.

'Now more than ever, we must unify around our shared values and rise above the partisan rancor, and forge our common destiny.'
