PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (June 13, 2022)

PAGASA Says HPA and Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the ridge of a high pressure area and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Monday (June 13, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The high pressure area and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) will be affecting eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Occidental Mindoro & Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency also reported that the country is currently experiencing monsoon break. It will give Filipino people a generally fair weather with chances of isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms in some areas.

“Sa susunod na tatlong araw, Tuesday hanggang Thursday, nakikita po namin na magapapatuloy ang monsoon break, at yung ridge of high pressure area (HPA) ay patuloy na makakaapekto sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon. Kaya sa susunod na tatlong araw, magandang panahon ang mararanasan maliban sa mga isolated na mga pag-ulan dahil sa localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
