Comelec Speaks on May 2022 Elections following the Pulse Asia Survey Result

MAY 2022 ELECTIONS – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) tagged it as the “most successful” poll in Philippine history.

One of the elections in the Philippines wherein many Filipinos were vocal about their support for their candidates is the Elections 2022. It was undeniably a different level of campaign period – thousands of people were usually out to show support for their bets in grand rallies. The election results were also out fast.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) tagged the May 2022 Elections as the “most successful” election in Philippine history. According to Comelec chairman George Garcia, the public trust in the poll body was restored following the 82% trust rating as per the Pulse Asia survey result. He also stressed that election-related incidents were only at 23 compared with last election’s 166. The Comelec chairman was also impressed by the “speed and accuracy” in the tally of the results.
