Lady Passenger Expresses Dismay After Losing Cellphone to Snatcher
ROBBERY INCIDENT – A lady passenger has lost her mobile phone to a snatcher in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
Recently, a female passenger in Barangay Holy Spirit lost her mobile phone to a male snatcher who immediately ran away after the robbery incident. The suspect performed the crime along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
The victim said the bus stopped at Sandiganbayan to pick up passengers when a male suspect suddenly snatched her cellphone. The snatcher jumped into the bus window to reach her mobile phone.
The disappointed lady tried to chase the suspect but she failed to catch him. She sought help from the barangay officials who launched a follow-up operation to locate and arrest the snatcher.
The lady victim who is working as a social worker expressed her fear that the suspect might use her number or social media account for illegal activities.
“Ang concern ko makapanloko kasi ang daming contacts ko dun e, especially sa social media account ko and then sa mga pasyente, kasi nagwowork po ako at sa akin kumo-contact yung mga relative so baka makapanloko yun lang ang ayaw ko mangyari,” the victim said.
