HERLENE BUDOL – Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner-up Herlene Budol a.k.a Hipon Girl has this revelations about her pageant stint.
Binibining Pilipinas 2021 Hannah Arnold crowned Nicole Borromeo as Binibining Pilipinas 2022. And the other winners of this year’s pageant are:
- Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental: Gabrielle Camille Basiano
- Bb. Pilipinas Globe: Chelsea Fernandez
- Bb. Pilipinas Grand International: Roberta Angela Tamondong
- 1st runner-up: Nicole Budol
- 2nd runner-up: Stacey Daniella Gabriel
Herlene Budol a.k.a Hipon Girl placed 1st runner-up in the pageant and she even won 7 special awards at the pageant such as the Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice Award, Binibining Shein, JAG Queen, Binibining Pizza Hut 2022, Binibining Silka, Binibining Kumu and Binibining World Balance.
She was effortlessly a crowd’s favorite. And now, after the pageant, in the new vlog she released, she revealed the truth behind her decision to join the pageant.
According to her, she doesn’t feel like she fits in this world – beauty, brain, being demure, and proper. But despite her doubts about herself, she still tried her luck. And among the factors that pushed her to do it amid the doubts she received from herself and from other people, was the offer of her manager Wilbert Tolentino to her.
She will get a brand new house and lot in exchange for her joining the pageant. Life is tough and they are poor, so, she accepted this very tempting offer for practical reasons.
“Sino ba namang tanga ang hindi papayag dun? Praktikal na tayo, hindi naman kami mayaman ng pamilya ko. Kung nakikita niyo naman sa mga vlog namin, wala kaming kisame, mainit yung bahay namin, magulo yung bahay namin,” she said with full honesty.
The beauty queen added, “Isa yun sa pangarap ko, na magkaroon kami ng bahay. Kahit anong trabaho ko, kahit sampung taon pa ako magtrabaho, makakabili ako ng bahay pero matagal na panahon.”
However, aside from the offer, her manager really saw the potential in her. He encouraged her and he was the first one to believe in her capacity.
