IT Engineer Arrested for Posting Ex-Girlfriend’s Private Video Online
CEBU CITY – The police authorities arrested an IT engineer for posting a private video of his ex-girlfriend.
On Thursday afternoon (August 11, 2022), the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit-Central Visayas (Racu 7) together with the Regional Intelligence Unit 7 raided the house of the 38-year-old information technology engineer identified as Alvin Anticarma.
The cops arrested the Anticarma in his house in Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City based on the arrest warrant issued by Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Merlo Pasco Bagano. The suspect allegedly posted the private of his former girlfriend.
Anticarma’s ex-girlfriend filed a complaint in 2019 against the suspect for recording their intimate moment. The lady victim claimed that she didn’t know that he had posted their private video on a website containing adult stuff.
The victim discovered the video after an unidentified person sent her a link to the video. It took her three before she discovered the clip. She immediately reported the incident to the police authorities and filed charges against her former boyfriend.
However, the IT engineer admitted his mistake and explained that he and his ex-partner agreed to record their intimate moment.

The suspect is facing four counts of violating Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009. The judge has set the suspect’s bail at P42, 000.
