May rason kung bakit hindi naging aktibo ang actor-producer na si Ashton Kutcher sa paglabas sa TV and movies. Na-diagnose pala ito ng isang serious autoimmune disease na nakaapekto sa kanyang hearing, sight and ability to walk.
Inamin ng aktor na isang taon siyang nagdusa sa kanyang sakit na kung tawagin ay Vasculitis.
Kuwento ng That’s ’70s Show star: “Like two years ago, I had this weird, super-rare form of vasculitis. It knocked out my vision, knocked out my hearing, knocked out like all my equilibrium. It took me like a year to like build it all back up. You don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone, until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever gonna be able to see again. I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m going to be able to walk again. I’m lucky to be alive.”
Ang naturang sakit ang naging dahilan ng pagpanaw ng actor-director na si Harold Ramis noong 2014 sa edad na 69.
Ayon sa National Institutes of Health: “Vasculitis occurs when the body’s immune system attacks veins, arteries and small capillaries. The resulting inflammation narrows those blood vessels and restricts the flow of blood or even cuts blood flow off entirely, possibly causing organ damage or creating aneurysms (a bulge in the wall of a blood vessel). If an aneurysm bursts, it can cause internal bleeding which can lead to death. Common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, rash, aches, pains and fever.”
Kasal si Ashton sa aktres na si Mila Kunis at may dalawa silang anak. Ex-wife naman niya ang aktres na si Demi Moore. (Ruel Mendoza)
