JoJo Siwa came out at gay in the most incredible way.

The Nickelodeon and YouTube star, 17, took to Twitter to share a photograph of herself in a printed T-shirt that says "Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever."

Wearing one of her iconic bejewelled JoJo Bows in her signature high ponytail, the singer and dancer captioned her picture: "My cousin got me a new shirt"

Her simple yet strong statement was a big hit with her fans.

Perez Hilton labelled her a "Gay icon!!!!"

"Proud of you," one fan told her.

"YES YES YES YES YES!!," another posted.

Yesterday, the star had posted a video of herself mouthing along to Lady Gaga's Born This Way, lipsyncing the lyrics: "No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive."

JoJo is a huge Lady Gaga fan and has even publicly reached out to the singer in the hopes of collaborating with her.

Back in August, she tweeted: "@ladygaga I wanna film a YouTube video with you!!! Message me!!"

The star, whose real name is Joelle Joanie Siwa, appeared on two series of Dance Moms with her mother Jessalynn and has starred in a string of shows on Nickelodeon.

She once appeared on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when Kim took her daughter North, who is a huge JoJo fan, to her house to record a YouTube video with her.
