WWE star Ricochet slams ‘trash’ reports he is ‘set to leave’ Vince McMahon’s company by refusing new contract in 2021

RICOCHET has blasted reports he is set to snub a new contract and leave WWE.

The 31-year-old joined Vince McMahon’s company in 2018 and debuted in NXT.

He signed a three-year contract with WWE when joining them, a deal that expires early next year.

Reports have emerged online that the former US Champion has grown disillusioned and will refuse to re-sign an extension.

However, Ricochet has moved to quickly kill any speculation over his future with a fierce tweet blasting the rumours as lies.

He wrote: “But seriously, where the hell did these rumors start? I’ve never said once that I am leaving. To anyone! So for these ‘dirt sheets’ out there.

“Maybe facts check before you just blast some trash on your website for some clicks?”

Under the Triple H-ran brand, the acrobatic high-flyer became a huge fan favourite with his daredevil antics.

The star's real name is Trevor Mann.

He won the NXT North American championship during his time on the Black and Gold brand before he was called up to the main roster early the next year.

Having been teamed with Aleister Black, the duo challenged for both the Raw and SmackDown tag belts after they won the Dusty Rhodes Classic.

Ricochet has also enjoyed some success since his call-up and challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title in February.

However, he lost in just seconds at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia.

More recently he has been involved in a storyline with the Hurt Business on Monday Night Raw.
