Wrestling star Jake Hager left a bloody mess and taken to hospital after continuing MMA unbeaten streak at Bellator 250

JAKE HAGER was left a bloody mess and taken straight to hospital despite continuing his undefeated streak in MMA.

The AEW wrestling star defeated Brandon Carlton via split decision at Bellator 250 in the early hours of this morning.

Hager, perhaps better known as Jack Swagger to WWE fans, is now 3-0-1 after the brutal encounter inside the cage.

Both the 38-year-old and his opponent had blood pouring down their faces after the punishing three round heavyweight clash.

And after getting his hand raised, Hager was forced to miss the post-fight press conference as he was taken to a local medical facility to have his wounds treated.

The star, part of cHris Jericho’s Inner Circle faction on AEW, had a huge cut on what appeared to be a broken nose.

And the damage got worse as he was also left with a nasty gash underneath his left eye.

The fight was his toughest yet since embarking on a pro MMA career and went back-and-forth.

Hager was disqualified in his last fight for a low blow, and this fight was stopped also in the third momentarily after he landed another.

However, the action did get restarted and he would go on to have his hand raised to remain unbeaten.

Jericho was one of those to immediately praise the star after he triumphed and prevailed in the gruesome gut check.

Sharing a snap of Hager’s bloody and cut face, he wrote: “Holy smokes @realjakehager just won a WAR at @bellatormma 250 tonight and remains UNDEFEATED IN MMA!!

“Even though his modeling career might be over, you might wanna think twice if you wanna mess with the #InnerCircle... #ToughAF.”

He spent 11 years working for Vince McMahon before leaving to pursue his MMA dream and then joining AEW last year.

He began his Bellator career with impressive back-to-back first-round submission victories against T.J. Jones and J.W. Kiser.

However, his most-recent outing ended in controversial and frustrating fashion for the 6ft 7in former WWE world champion.

His fight with Anthony Garrett at Bellator 231 ended in a no contest after Hager was adjudged to have landed multiple knees to his opponent’s groin.
