Pep Guardiola’s side’s extended 2019/20 season meant they missed gameweek 1 of the new term, while Wolves defeated Sheffield United 2-0.

42 mins: Grealish has the ball in the Sheffield United box for Villa but he can’t find an opening to shoot. Instead he lays it off to the edge of the box and sets up Hourihane. Hourihane hits the pass first time and misses to the left.
39 mins: Things are going from bad to worse for Chris Wilder’s men. It was a good save from Martinez on debut. Matt Targett picked up a yellow card for giving away the penalty.
But, there is a sliver of hope that the Blades can catch Villa on the counter attack.
